1. Overview
This policy explains what information the InkWater team (the "Operator") processes when providing the InkWater mobile application (the "App"), why it is processed, how long it is kept, and what rights you have. The Operator complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and the EU GDPR where applicable.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- Microphone audio — the music-reactive world uses the microphone only to visualize ambient rhythm in real time. Audio is processed on-device and is never stored or transmitted. Screen recordings do not include microphone audio.
- Precise location — the App does not request location permissions.
- Payment details (card numbers, etc.) — payments are handled by Google Play / App Store; the App cannot access them.
- Contacts or photo library browsing — the App does not access your contacts, and only writes capture/recording files you explicitly save.
3. Information you provide (optional features)
| Data | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork image, artist name (a signature you type) | When you share an artwork to the community gallery | Public display in the community gallery (stored on the Operator's server / AWS S3) |
| Google account identifier (UID) and email address | When you sign in with Google (optional) | Managing and restoring sign-in rewards (world unlock ticket) and friend-invite rewards (Firebase Authentication + Operator's server) |
| Friend invite code | When you enter an invite code or install via an invite link | Linking invite rewards |
4. Automatically collected information
| Data | Purpose | Processor |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous device identifier (a random UUID generated by the App, stored on your device) | Distinguishing community authors, preventing duplicate likes/reports, preventing duplicate device rewards | Operator's server |
| Invite code in the install referrer (once, right after install) | Linking friend-invite rewards | Google Play Install Referrer + Operator's server |
| Push notification token, app language (if you allow notifications) | Sending notifications | Firebase Cloud Messaging + Operator's server |
| Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / iOS IDFA), device info (model, OS version, language), IP address (may be used to estimate an approximate region), ad interaction records | Serving and measuring ads (funds free use) | Google AdMob |
| Purchase history (subscription product ID, purchase receipt token), a randomly generated anonymous user identifier | Verifying and restoring subscription status | RevenueCat |
5. Community content
- Artworks you share to the gallery (image and artist name) are visible to all users.
- You can delete (unpublish) your own artworks in the App's gallery at any time.
- Inappropriate artworks can be reported in the App; repeatedly reported artworks are hidden automatically. The Operator may hide or remove content that violates the policy.
6. Third-party privacy policies
- Google (AdMob, Firebase Authentication / Cloud Messaging, Play Install Referrer): policies.google.com/privacy
- Firebase data processing: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- RevenueCat: revenuecat.com/privacy
7. Retention and deletion
- Community artworks are kept for display until you delete them or they are hidden for policy violations.
- Sign-in account data (reward and invite ledgers) is deleted promptly when you delete your account (Section 8).
- Automatically collected data is retained according to each processor's policy.
- Uninstalling the App deletes on-device data (settings, unlock states, capture files, etc.).
8. Account and data deletion
- In the App — Settings > Account > Delete account immediately deletes your sign-in account and the reward/invite records stored on our server. Deletion cannot be undone.
- Shared artworks — independent of your account, you can delete each of your artworks in the gallery.
- If you cannot access the App — email developerdoga@gmail.com with the Google account email you used to sign in, and we will delete your account and shared artworks promptly after verification.
9. Your rights
- Opt out of ad personalization — Android: Settings > Google > Ads (reset or delete advertising ID) / iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Change ad consent (GDPR regions) — App Settings > "Ad privacy options" lets you modify consent at any time.
- Revoke microphone permission — at any time in your device's app permission settings; features other than the music-reactive world are unaffected.
- Requests for access, correction, or restriction can be made via the contact below.
10. International transfers
Automatically collected data may be processed on the servers of the processors (Google, RevenueCat), including in the United States. Each processor applies lawful safeguards such as standard contractual clauses under its own policy.
11. Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 14 (or the equivalent age under the laws of your jurisdiction) and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
12. Security
All network communication is encrypted via HTTPS (TLS). Server-side data is stored in an access-controlled environment.
13. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised content and effective date will be posted on this page. Material changes will be announced separately, e.g., in the App.
